Electromagnetic Metal Limit Switch (FEM Series)














COMEPI’s range of interlocks is further extended thanks to the new FEM series devices.

These products flank the thermoplastic FEP series versions to provide a valuable alternative for applications demanding product robustness.

The metal housing of the FEM device is made of powder-coated zamak, as is the actuating head, which has been improved to achieve up to 3,000N retention force.

As well as being durable, the product is also easy to install, thanks to the possibility of orientating the head directly in the field in 90° steps without the need to unscrew it completely from the body.

The deposit gasket mounted on the cover makes it possible to achieve the high protection ratings of IP67 and IP66.

This is in addition to the features already appreciated on the market in the FEP series, such as:

Multifuncton safety module with delayed output MT1A22-024














The new MT1A22-024 safety module joins COMEPI’s already rich offer of single-function safety modules, thus increasing the possible applications of our products within your safety systems.

This device features two instantaneous outputs flanked by two outputs that can be delayed from 0 to 30s by means of a simple front trimmer.

The outputs of the MT1A22-024 module differ from those of the MT2A22-024 in that they are electromechanical, i.e. with potential-free relays.

This feature makes the modules easy to integrate into even the simplest machinery and less advanced applications.

The typical application of this device is to manage the reset of our electromagnetic safety interlocks, locking or unlocking the guards after the time required for the inertia of dangerous components such as blades, pressure parts or high temperature zones to wear off.

The MS1A22-024 can be used to handle incoming signals from electromechanical limit switches, emergency mushrooms or even OSSD devices such as light barriers or sensors.

The product is certified by TUV with CE type examination according to EN ISO 13949-1 with safety performance up to PLe in CAT 4 for instantaneous outputs and in CAT 3 for delayable outputs.

Bimanual Control Device SCB Series














The use of bimanual control devices is widespread in applications such as presses and production equipment to reduce the risk of injury due to the operator’s hands being crushed.

The reference standard EN ISO 13851 was recently updated in 2019 and clearly sets out the design and evaluation criteria for bimanual control devices. To meet the market’s need for safe and fully compliant devices, COMEPI has developed the new SCB series bimanual control device.

This product features a fully compliant design, where each distance is measured to be within the limits to ensure safe actuation and minimise the risk of bypassing the device.

The housing is made of a highly resistant thermoplastic material, which guarantees the robustness and durability of the assembly, making the SCB comparable to metal products on the market.

Design and regulatory aspects do not compromise the comfort of the operator, who can operate in safety and comfort thanks to the adjustments and types of button available.

Indeed, COMEPI offers the possibility of assembling the SCB device in both vertical and side-operated versions.

In addition, the devices can be integrated with the pushbuttons required to complete the system, whether traditional mechanically-operated pushbuttons or their capacitive-operated evolution.

Finally, COMEPI provides its MS1H21-024 safety modules to complete the system and guarantee performance up to PLe suitable for higher risk applications.

The product has an IP65 rating and can also be supplied in a version with an 8-pin M12 connector, a ready-to-use solution ready to be connected to the safety module.

SB Series capacitive IO-Link pushbutton panel














The glass-fibre reinforced polycarbonate SB housing together with the IO-Link capacitive pushbutton create a perfect balance of design, innovation and functionality.

Numerous parameters can be programmed via the IO-Link communication protocol: from drive sensitivity, to the activation functionality, and other variables such as minimum actuation time and colour selection. These devices can be flexibly integrated into interconnected network environments, offering great advantages for all HMI applications in various fields: from industrial automation to machine engineering to robotics and building technology.

The standardised M12 connection allows easy installation, programming and replacement of these devices. Users can configure the capacitive IO-Link box according to their application needs, and can choose from a wide range of customisation options: lighting type (16 million possible colours), symbols, signal mode (PNP, NPN, maintained, instantaneous, etc.).

In the SB capacitive pushbutton panel, the status of each pushbutton can be monitored as process data via IO-LINK, as well as various control variables such as temperature, internal humidity, vibration, shock, number of operations, usage time and supply voltage.

The use of capacitive buttons allows comfortable operation and an IP69K protection rating for the entire device. Up to three buttons can be connected with a single M12 connector, simplifying wiring, installation and maintenance.

Integration with the ECX 4580 emergency stop button allows the dual safety function of emergency stop to be integrated with process data transmitted via IO-LINK. Thanks to two separate circuits, it is possible to maintain maximum safety performance with double positive opening NC channels and at the same time monitor the emergency status, number of actuations and many other variables useful for predictive maintenance via IO-LINK.
